Vrai ou Faux sur les jeux de table : démêle le vrai du bluff !
You know roulette like the back of your hand? Blackjack holds no secrets for you? And poker’s your favorite playground? Careful… even pros fall for classic casino myths!
Between misconceptions, misread rules and legendary tales, table games are full of traps. So we’ve put together a True or False quiz to test your knowledge, challenge a few certainties, and have some fun along the way.
Ready to separate myth from reality? It’s your turn to play!
❌ False.
Nice try… but no. The green zero was actually added to give the casino the edge. In European roulette, it lowers the player’s chances by cancelling “even-money” stakes (even/odd, red/black, etc.) when it lands. That little zero is what tips the balance in favor of the house.
❌ False.
People often say that, but it’s not quite right. The real goal is to beat the dealer, not to hit 21 exactly. If you have 20 and the dealer has 18, you win. And if you both hit 21? It’s a tie. Sure, 21 is ideal, but it’s not the only way to win.
✅ True.
Exactly! It’s one of the most satisfying moments in blackjack. When the dealer goes over 21 (that’s what we call a “bust”), every player still in the round wins their stake. And if you’re the only one left standing? That’s your jackpot moment.
❌ False.
Bluffing is a tool, not a rule. The best players know when to raise big with a strong hand… and when to bluff to make others think they have one. It’s all about timing, reading your opponents, and good strategy. Bluff every hand, and you’ll go broke fast.
❌ False.
This one’s persistent: “Red came up three times, so black is next.” Nope. Every spin is independent. The ball doesn’t remember what came before, and probabilities stay the same every time. So don’t waste time looking for “patterns” that don’t exist.
❌ False.
In online blackjack games, the cards are reshuffled after every round. That makes it impossible to keep track of what’s been played or predict what’s coming next. Even a pro card counter can’t beat the shuffle online.
❌ False.
A flush beats a pair in poker. The hand ranking is fixed and universal: even two beautiful kings lose to a simple flush of low cards. Never overestimate your hand!
✅ True.
Even if the odds are close, betting on the banker gives a slight advantage to the player (which is why the house takes a small commission on those wins). It’s the choice preferred by strategic players.
✅ True (in general).
In most classic rules, the dealer stands on 17 or higher and draws on 16 or less. But beware: some casinos use the “soft 17” rule (a 17 with an Ace counted as 11), where the dealer can draw again. Always check before you play!
❌ False.
Roulette is 100% luck-based. Each spin is independent, so there’s no point memorizing previous numbers. The only things worth keeping in mind are your stakes and your budget.
✅ True.
The royal flush (10, J, Q, K, A of the same suit) is the ultimate poker hand. It’s unbeatable, but incredibly rare. If you hit one… get ready to impress the table!
